Everybody on this mornings flight was celebrating a special occasion, but there was great cause for celebration as we had two people who had to get up early on their Birthday’s to go ballooning. Lisa didn’t even know what she was going to be doing until she arrived at The Squirrel and saw the balloon – I’m not sure I would get up at 4.30am on my Birthday!!
It was another stunning morning and it was a lovely flight. They took off from the Squirrel at Hurtmore at about 6.30am and gently drifted southeast and landed at Dunsfold an hour later with the crew waiting in the field to greet them. We were all sipping Champagne in the sunshine back at the Squirrel by 8.30am. All of that before most people have even started work!
For those that don’t do early mornings we also fly at the other end of the day meeting at about 6pm – some say that’s far more civilised!!
