Paul had his first flight with us for his 40th Birthday. He got hooked and since then has been crewing for us. Even though he has moved away from the area he still comes crewing as much as he can. Kate, Paul’s wife, has never flown in a balloon, even though Paul has been crewing for nearly 10 years. Some of their friends were visiting from Belgium and after watching the balloon launch last year decided they would like to fly this years, so Kate decided that she would go up with them. Friday 27th August was the day and Kate’s thankyou card says it all really – “Just wanted to say thanks for my flight last Friday, it was a great experience and I can sort of see what all the fuss is about now!”
